Environmental education with the return of SUMA’s technical advice in Angola

Vista Waste Management has acquired a package of services from SUMA for the creation of campaigns, procedural guides and promotional materials – as part of a pilot recycling project in some educational establishments, the renewal of the “LIXOMACHIMBA” educational project, and the training of awareness-raising technicians to be assigned to the service.

This service also includes monitoring and pedagogical supervision by the management team of SUMA’s Environmental Education department throughout the provision of services, for an estimated duration of two years.

The aim of this contract is to reinforce the investment in environmental education made by Vista Waste Management, as part of the waste co-management services provided locally, in order to boost the environmental literacy of the Angolan population.

The first stage of this service provision – training the technical team – has already begun with a training week to share expertise and operating methodology.

This is SUMA’s return to Angola with technical consultancy, 13 years after the start of the robust program that involved various segments of the population, an environmental education center and mobile awareness units.
