SUMA Smart

SUMA took part in the Portugal Smart Cities Summit, which took place from 10 to 12 October, with the aim of showcasing the technical and process efficiency management capabilities of technological applications created in-house to support waste collection and urban cleaning operations.

The purpose of this national reference event is to present and promote business opportunities between companies and entities that generate the modernisation of cities, as well as to support entrepreneurship and scientific research, give visibility to technology-based companies and entities, and provide the transfer of knowledge and innovation from the academic and scientific world to the national and international business world, making it a marketplace of excellence for the Portuguese-speaking community.

The focus of this presentation was on the launch of the SUMA no Bairro app, an innovative app that enables residents to report incidents in the area of waste management and urban cleaning directly to the municipality.
The stand was visited by representatives of Portuguese municipalities who were interested in finding out about solutions to improve the performance of their cities.
