SUMA elected Trusted Brand for the 5th consecutive year


SUMA was once again appointed as the company which conduct reflects the greatest concern in the search for the well-being of citizens, in what waste treatment and urban cleaning are concerned. The company achieved again the first place as an Environmental “Trusted Brands”, promoted by the Reader’s Digest Selections.

This annual process which in 2009 extended to the environment area is intended to assess the degree of confidence that consumers place in brands in 40 areas of activity, through a qualitative methodology questionnaire with open questions, carried out with a significant sample of the Portuguese population.

The vote for 2021 reinforces the recognition achieved over the past years and
denotes the commitment assumed by SUMA in maintaining the a high life standard, through services and workers deemed essential, especially in the current pandemic context. The profile of proximity with both citizens and municipalities, which in some cases total more than two decades of partnership has been reinforced by the implementation of multiple proximity and door-to-
door collection systems, and reveals the trust between stakeholders, the continuous pursuit of national environmental goals and the fruitful articulation between public and private services.
